Students-turned-sandalmakers

Rosanna Westmoreland

Rosanna wins the title of ‘most sandal making workshops attended’ and has been prolific in her creations at home, especially during quarantine. She makes ingenious use of items around her house, upcycling leather items, beads, hardware, and other experimental materials into her sandals. She has become an invaluable member of my small sandal making community, and I always love to see her inventive creations!

Milina Footwear

A sandal line created by friend & former student Sonja Gajic. Sonja created a line of sandals inspired by a favorite vintage pair.

Dopp

Shayla Dopp took my very first sandal making workshop in Oakland! She has since created a gorgeous line of shoes & sandals that are made in LA.

Mary Piontek

I met Mary during my first out-of-state workshop in Colorado. She has since become a great friend and she is an incredibly talented sandal maker

Brinna Jones

Brinna is a skilled leather artisan living in Los Angeles. She took my virtual workshop last summer and now she is making inventive sandal designs. Click on her photo for more pics, and check out her website here

Emily Shaw

Emily is a talented designer, musician, and sandal maker living in LA. We held a private workshop at her Silverlake home with a few of her friends, and she’s been making gorgeous original sandal designs ever since.
