Spring is just around the corner...let's make some new sandals to celebrate it's arrival!

Meet me in Healdsburg at Tamarind's studio space, and I'll walk you through making your very own pair handmade leather sandals.  No experience is necessary, I'll be there to help you through the entire process.  I'll bring all the necessary tools, supplies and many different leather colors to choose from.  Check out photos of past workshops and my sandals to get an idea of the designs you can expect to create in this workshop.  You will have the choice of making a toe ring sandal (my personal fave), a two-strap slide sandal, or an ankle-buckle sandal.  You can play around with strap placement & width,  leather color combinations, and other design modifications that strike your fancy!

This workshop will teach you how to construct a pair of sandals with the soles, heels and uppers made entirely from leather.  This is a traditional way of making sandals that has been practiced for centuries.  And in my opinion, they are also the most comfortable, beautiful and durable!  Bring a friend or family member and enjoy a day of working with your hands to a pair of sandals you will wear for years to come.
